TSMC to deliver first 2nm chips in early 2026
Apr.25,2022

Asian Tech Press (Apr. 25) -- TSMC will deliver the first 2nm chips in early 2026, with Apple and Intel being the first to adopt them.

TSMC is said to start mass production of chips using its 2nm process (N2) at the end of 2025 and deliver the first batch of chips in early 2026, with the first customers being Apple and Intel.

Szeho Ng, an analyst at China Renaissance Securities, pointed out in a note for clients that Intel will take risk production of N2 products by the end of 2024.

The analyst also said that Apple will be TSMC's main customer to provide dedicated capacity support.

However, it is unclear which of Apple's system-on-chips (SoCs) will use TSMC's N2 at that time, as there is still some time before the mass production schedule.
