Thai PM Srettha invites Apple to set up R&D center in Thailand

Asian Tech Press (Nov 17) -- The Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin invited Apple Inc. to set up a research and development center in Thailand during his visit to San Francisco.

According to a press release on the Thai government's official website, Srettha and Apple executives held talks in San Francisco on Wednesday local time.

During the talks, Srettha has extended an invitation to Apple to set up a research and development center in Thailand.

And he anticipated that the cooperation with the iPhone maker would progress soon.

Apple, which has a manufacturing facility for Apple products in Thailand, is content with infrastructure and product quality in the country, the press release said.
