
Asian Tech Press (Sep 5) -- Tesla China expected to deliver more than 100,000 electric cars in September.
Troy Teslike, a well-known Twitter influencer who tracks Tesla deliveries and other data analysis, recently tweeted that Tesla China has expected to deliver more than 100,000 electric cars in September, a new record.
The U.S. automaker owns a superfactory in Shanghai that underwent a two-week optimization and upgrade of its production line in July, which led to a temporary disruption in production.
In August, Tesla sold 77,000 Chinese-made electric vehicles, up 173% from July and 74% year-over-year, the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) said.
Tesla produces the Model 3 and Model Y in its Shanghai megafactory, which supplies cars not only to the Chinese market but also to overseas markets.
