Asian Tech Press (Dec 2) -- Nexon Co Ltd. will stop operating Tencent's free-to-play MMORPG "Moonlight Blade Online" in South Korea next month.

Nexon announced on Thursday through the game's official forum that the Korean version of "Moonlight Blade Online" will formally stop running on January 19, 2023.

As for the reason for the suspension, local distributor Nexon said that although it would love to keep bringing happiness to players who love "Moonlight Blade", it is difficult to provide satisfactory service according to the current situation and can only make the difficult decision.

Moonlight Blade, is a 3D multiplayer online Role Playing video game that Tencent's Aurora Studio developed based on a Chinese fantasy martial arts novel, and debuted in South Korea in January 2018.

Until its shutdown, Nexon operated the game in South Korea for approximately five years.
