Hyundai to re-enter Japan car market with electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles

Asian Tech Press (Feb 9) -- South Korea's largest car manufacturer Hyundai Motor Group will enter the Japanese car market again with electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles.

After a 12-year absence, Hyundai will once again enter the Japanese passenger car market this year, which has been dominated by local automakers, Kyodo News reported.

The South Korean automaker will start taking orders for the Ioniq 5 electric vehicle and Nexo hydrogen-powered cars from May, with delivery beginning in July.
