Geely's premium EV brand Zeekr targets sales of 650,000 units by 2025

Asian Tech Press (Aug 22) -- Zeekr, Chinese automotive group Geely's premium electric vehicle brand, said Friday that it plans to achieve sales of 650,000 units by 2025.

Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (0175.HK), the Hong Kong-listed parent company of Zeekr, held a conference on its first-half 2023 financial results on Friday.

At the online conference, Andy An Conghui, chief executive officer of Zeekr, made a presentation on its future development plan.

An said that Zeekr, as the flagship brand of luxury pure electric vehicles within Geely, has continued to focus on the pure electric field since its inception.

In the first half of this year, Zeekr delivered a total of 42,633 units, a year-on-year increase of 124%.

The brand's first model, the Zeekr 001, even reached a new milestone in June this year, becoming the luxury car whose global deliveries exceeded 100,000 units at the fastest pace.

Earlier, Zeekr announced plans to double its sales in 2023 to about 140,000 units. In doing so, the company is set to launch two new smart pure electric sedans in the second half of the year to boost its premium market share.

And in the latest release, An revealed that Zeekr plans to realize the sales target of 650,000 by 2025.

In addition, An said that Zeekr will launch two new models per year from now on to meet the needs of various market segments.
